Thunderbirds Are Go! renewed for second series by CITV

December 18, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Despite the fact we’ve barely seen any promotional material, never mind a single piece of footage (although that might change in a couple of hours), CITV has announced that it has renewed the upcoming Thunderbirds Are Go! for a second series, ordering an additional 26 episodes of the upcoming CG revamp of Gerry Anderson’s classic TV show.

“I am delighted to confirm that a second series of Thunderbirds Are Go has been commissioned for CITV,” states Jamila Metran, CITV Head of Programming. “We are so excited for the launch of our reboot of the iconic children’s show and look forward to bringing the adventures of the five Tracy brothers to our audiences in 2015.”

Thunderbirds Are Go! is set to premiere in 2015, with a voice cast that includes Rosamund Pike (Lady Penelope), David Graham (Parker), Kayvan Novak (Brains), David Menkin (Virgil and Gordon Tracy), Rasmus Hardiker (Alan and Scott Tracy) and Thomas Brodie-Sangster (John Tracy).
