While we’ve been watching Warner Bros. and Legendary’s take on Ishirō Honda’s iconic creation with their Monsterverse, Toho Studios has been hard at work continuing the original Godzilla timeline, and have just dropped the first teaser trailer for the iconic monster’s return in Godzilla Minus One.
Written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki (Lupin III: The First), Godzilla Minus One marks the first domestic Japanese Godzilla film since Shin Godzilla was released in 2016. Check out the Kaiju carnage below…

Set in a post-war Japan, Godzilla Minus One will once again show a Godzilla that is a terrifying and overwhelming force. The concept is that Japan, which had already been devastated by the war, faces a new threat with Godzilla, bringing the country into the ‘minus’.
Godzilla Minus One debuts in Japan on November 3rd before making the giant leap into U.S. theatres nationwide December 1st, 2023.
