What We Do In The Shadows renewed for fifth and sixth seasons

June 7, 2022 by Ricky Church

Not long after FX released the trailer for the fourth season of What We Do In The Shadows, the network has now announced that the vampire mockumentary series has been renewed for not one but two additional seasons.

What We Do In The Shadows is based on the 2014 film of the same name and follows roommates Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) in their daily lives, all of whom are vampires.

“There’s a lot of life left in our favorite vampires from Staten Island, and FX couldn’t be more thrilled to commit to two additional seasons of this phenomenal series,” said Nick Grad, FX’s President of Original Programming. “What We Do in the Shadows excels on every level, from the brilliant cast and surprising guest stars to the producers, writers, directors and crew. We can’t wait for everyone to enjoy Season 4, knowing that the next two are on the way.”

What We Do in the Shadows follows four vampires who’ve “lived” together for hundreds of years. In Season 3, the vampires are elevated to a new level of power and will encounter the vampire from which all vampires have descended, a tempting Siren, gargoyles, werewolf kickball, Atlantic City casinos, wellness cults, ex-girlfriends, gyms and supernatural curiosities galore.

What We Do In the Shadows season 4 premieres on July 12th.
