Zack Snyder wants to make Rebel Moon into a trilogy (or even more films)

April 19, 2024 by EJ Moreno

No one wants to see Zack Snyder more than the filmmaker himself, but no one should be surprised that he wants to continue Rebel Moon past the newly released Part Two: The Scargiver.

During a recent conversation with Forbes, Snyder teased that he wants to expand the franchise even more, with him and his producing partners already cooking up the third installment.

“We have definitely been working on Part Three, as far as the story goes. We definitely know where we’re all headed—we’ve known that for quite a while, to be honest. So yeah, I’m excited to make some more Rebel Moon movies—that would be fun.”

It should come as no surprise that Snyder wants to continue these stories, even if we’re still awaiting his much-hyped Director’s Cuts of the films. We still seem to be some time away from seeing those, but Snyder and Netflix could always surprise us at any time.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver hits Netflix today, and you can read our review of the movie here. Meanwhile, Titan has also been releasing the prequel comic book series Rebel Moon: House fo the Bloodaxe.

REBEL MOON – PART TWO: THE SCARGIVER continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.

Both parts of Rebel Moon are streaming now on Netflix.
