Joseph Kosinski to head into The Twilight Zone

August 16, 2013 by admin

It seems that Warner Bros. may finally have found its director for the long-gestating big screen version of The Twilight Zone, with The Wrap reporting that Joseph Kosinski (TRON: Legacy, Oblivion) has entered negotiations to helm the latest adaptation of Rod Serling’s classic anthology series, which is being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way.

Several high profile filmmakers have been linked to The Twilight Zone movie, including Michael Bay (Transformers), Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Rises) and Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity), while Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) was attached last year, although he ultimately departed the project in favour of next year’s sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Meanwhile Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past) is also said to be developing a reboot of the TV series for CBS, although progress appears to have stalled due to his commitments to the upcoming X-Men sequel.
