Jai Courtney and Boyd Holbrook final two actors up for Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis

According to Deadline, A Good Day to Die Hard star Jai Courtney and Boyd Holbrook, star of the upcoming western Jane Got A Gun, are the final actors in the running for the role of Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis.

The part was previously played by Michael Biehn in the 1984 original and Anton Yelchin in Terminator: Salvation, while other actors previously linked to the role for the reboot include Thomas Cocquerel (Anzac Girls), Sam Reid (The Railway Man), Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie), Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy).

Already cast in Terminator: Genesis are Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke (The Great Gatsby) as John Connor and Arnold Schwarzengger as the titular Terminator. The film is being directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) and is set for release on July 1st, 2015.
