Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld says X-Force is Fox’s mystery 2018 Marvel movie

March 25, 2014 by admin

Last week, 20th Century Fox announced that it had set release dates for several Marvel properties, with a sequel to The Wolverine and The Fantastic Four 2 arriving in 2017 followed by a mystery title in 2018.

Well, according to Rob Liefeld, creator of the Deadpool character, the Merc with a Mouth will be teaming up with Cable and company for said mystery movie, with Liefeld stating on Twitter that the July 13th 2018 slot will be occupied by X-Force, which as we already know has been scripted by Jeff Wadlow, writer-director of Kick-Ass 2.

A spin-off from the main X-Men team, X-Force made their comic book debut in 1991 and over the years its roster has featured several characters who have already featured in Fox’s X-Men movie universe, including Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Cyclops (James Marsden), Storm (Halle Berry), Colossus (Daniel Cudmore) and Psylocke (Meiling Melancon), as well as Bishop (Omar Sy), Sunspot (Adan Canto) and Warpath (Booboo Stewart), all of whom will make their debut this May in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Would you like to see X-Force as Fox’s 2018 release and what line-up would you go for? Let us know in the comments below…
