Potential Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice plot details

August 14, 2014 by Gary Collinson

With very little in the way of hard news coming out of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice camp, we’ve had to make do with set photos, “scoops” from fake scripts, and outright speculation to tide us over, and now a new rumour has emerged from Geek Tyrant, offering up a few potential plot details from the DC ensemble. Of course, this should be taken with a pinch of salt, although it has been backed up by Badass Digest, for what that is worth.

So, according to an alleged extra on the film, the film begins  “as the battle between Superman and General Zod ends or is ending (which would explain all the damaged buildings and vehicles we’ve been seeing in photos) and Batman/Bruce Wayne is attempting to make his way to the Wayne tower in Metropolis” Furthermore, a scene has reportedly been shot which sees Batman breaking into LexCorp in order to steal some kryptonite, where he discovers that Luthor has got his hands on Zod’s corpse. Badass Digest adds that Zod’s body ” is the key to his master plan to defeat Superman. He uses that tissue to… well, that would be spoiling. But Superman hasn’t been defeated many times in the past. You can probably connect the dots from here.”

That last comment obviously alludes to the character of Doomsday, who has been rumoured as a villain in Dawn of Justice for some time now. However, with the amount of fake news flying around about this film, it’s really difficult to separate fact from fiction. Still, if there is any truth in this, what do you make of it? Let us know in the comments below…

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release on May 6th 2016, with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
