Daniel Craig reportedly films a secret role in Star Wars: Episode VII

September 14, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Chalk this one up squarely as a rumour – especially considering its source is the UK tabloid The Sun – but it seems that Daniel Craig (Skyfall) may have shot a secret cameo appearance in Star Wars: Episode VII. Craig reportedly begged director J.J. Abrams for a role in the hotly-anticipated sequel, saying that he’d be happy to have his face hidden, and apparently shot the part this week at Pinewood, where he was spotted with Carrie Fisher. However, a more likely scenario is that Craig was at Pinewood for pre-production on Bond 24, which is set to begin filming this December.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release on December 18th 2015 and sees returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) joined by Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Miltos Yerolemou (Game of Thrones), Max von Sydow (The Exorcist), Christina Chong (24: Live Another Day) and newcomers Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen.
