Christoph Waltz says his Bond character is not head of SPECTRE

December 16, 2014 by Thomas Roach

Since before his casting in the latest James Bond movie SPECTRE, actor Christoph Waltz has been rumoured to be playing the classic Bond villain Blofeld.

However, during the official casting announcement, it was revealed that Waltz will play the character Oberhauser who was Bond’s mentor in the Ian Fleming novels. Still, fans are still not buying this and believe this is all misdirection from the fact Waltz will play Blofeld.

In an interview with Collider whilst promoting his latest movie Big Eyes, Waltz was asked if he was playing the head of SPECTRE in the latest Bond film, to which he responded: “No.  No.  It’s more interesting than that.”

Check out his reaction to the question below…

Do you think Waltz is telling the truth? Let us know…

SPECTRE is set for release in the UK on October 23rd 2015 in the UK and November 6th 2015 in the States. The film sees Sam Mendes (Skyfall) directing Bond veterans Daniel Craig as James Bond, Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M and Jesper Christensen as Mr. White, alongside newcomers Andrew Scott (Pride) as Denbigh, Lea Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Colour) as Madeleine Swann, Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Mr. Hinx, Monica Bellucci (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) as Lucia Sciarra and Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) as Oberhauser.
