Jeremy Renner reveals he is currently shooting as Hawkeye

January 6, 2015 by Thomas Roach

Originally published January 6, 2015. Updated April 13, 2018.

With Avengers: Age of Ultron still a few months away Joss Whedon and company are currently working on reshoots for the hotly-anticipated sequel, and Jeremy Renner has revealed that he is back in his Hawkeye costume today via his Who Say account. Renner posted this message and picture:

“Tues morn. I find myself in costume again. I just can’t tell you why. And it still fits! #marvel #avengers #hawkeye”

Whilst the actor has used the #Avengers he reveals he can’t tell us why he is back in costume, leading to speculation that he may already be shooting scenes for Captain America: Civil War or an appearance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

UPDATE: As noted by AnakinCorleone in the comments below, Renner is posting from a Los Angeles timestamp, as opposed to the UK where Age of Ultron would be filming.

Avengers: Age of Ultron set for release in the UK on April 24th 2015 and North America on May 1st 2015, with Joss Whedon directing a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Incredible Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Paul Bettany (JARVIS / The Vision), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), James Spader (Ultron), Thomas Kretschmann (Baron Strucker), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Claudia Kim (Dr. Cho) and Andy Serkis in an as-yet-unconfirmed role, thought to be that of Uylsses Klaw.
