Carrie-Anne Moss joins Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones

February 3, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Having secured Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad) for the title role, casting on Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones is certainly picking up pace; we’ve heard that Mike Colter (The Following) will play Luke Cage, David Tennant (Broadchurch) is set for Zebediah Killgrave and Rachael Taylor (Transformers) has been cast as Trish Walker, a.k.a. Hellcat.

Well, we can now add another name to the growing list, with Marvel announcing that Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) has secured a role as an as-yet-unnamed character, described as “a no-nonsense woman who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica…if Jessica doesn’t completely alienate her first.”

“Throughout her career, Carrie-Anne has embodied a wide range of characters in a compelling and relatable way and I have no doubt she will bring that talent to A.K.A. Jessica Jones,” states showrunner Melissa Rosenberg, with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb adding: “Carrie-Anne has proven her ability to play complex characters with deep and layered inner lives. Her interaction with Jessica Jones will be one of the many highlights of the series.”
