According to Deadline, 20th Century Fox and director Tim Miller have identified a shortlist of actresses for the female lead to star alongside Ryan Reynolds’ in the studio’s X-Men spin-off Deadpool.
The site reports that Morena Baccarin (Gotham), Taylor Schilling (Orange Is the New Black), Crystal Reed (Teen Wolf), Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Red Band Society), Sarah Greene (Vikings) and Jessica De Gouw (Arrow) are all testing for the role.

Deadpool is set for release in February 2016 and will see Reynolds reprising the role of Wade Wilson, which he played in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
