Ernie Hudson is said to be circling the role of King T’Chaka in the upcoming Black Panther movie. According to Latino Review, the Ghostbusters actor has been “hitting the gym and picking up back issues of Marvel Comics’ Black Panther.”
Chadwick Boseman is set to play Black Panther, the son of T’Chaka, in next year’s Captain America: Civil War before getting his own film in 2018. At this time it is not known if there are plans for T’Chaka to appear in Civil War, which is set to go into production this month, or whether Marvel is already looking to fill out key roles for the solo movie. Of course, nothing is confirmed either, so mark this one down as a rumour for the time being.
