Guillermo del Toro provides an update on Justice League Dark

April 3, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Despite being absent from Warner Bros.’ list of DC movies through to 2020, filmmaker Guillermo del Toro continues to chip away at development on his Justice League Dark adaptation Dark Universe, and the filmmaker has provided a brief update on the supernatural DC ensemble during an interview with IGN.

“We turned in our [script] revision, and it all depends on the calendar, you know,” states del Toro. “If I can do it, I would love to do it. And I think the screenplay and the characters are very solid.”

And, should the ever-busy del Toro not be able to fit it into his schedule, then it’s likely “somebody will do it”, adding that: “You cannot say, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it after I do this,’ or ‘I have the first season of The Strain.‘ It needs to fall into the plan of the DC Universe.”

Are you hopeful that we’ll get to see del Toro’s Justice League Dark adaptation?
