New rumours of Aquaman’s role in Suicide Squad includes another DC villain

June 18, 2015 by admin

Former Latino-Review editor and now Heroic Hollywood helmer Umberto Gonzalez has some hot new rumours about the role Aquaman will play in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. Not only that, but he also claims it will involve another DC villain.

Warning – possible spoilers below:

According to the website, Aquaman is being held prisoner by Amanda Waller and is being tested upon. Waller even has Aquaman’s trident in a display case. But how did Aquaman get captured? Well, the site claims he was caught while fighting DC villain King Shark, who is also being held in the same prison as Aquaman.

King Shark first appeared in DC Comics in Superboy in 1994 and has also been a part of the Suicide Squad in The New 52.

As always, this is just rumours for now – so take it with a grain of salt.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5th 2016 and boasts an impressive cast including Will Smith (Focus) as Deadshot, Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) as The Joker, Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney (Terminator Genisys) as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop) as Rick Flagg, Viola Davis (The Help) as Amanda Waller, Cara Delevingne (Paper Towns) as Enchantress, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Thor: The Dark World) as Killer Croc, Ray Olubowale (Resident Evil: Afterlife) as King Shark, Jay Hernandez (Hostel) as El Diablo, Adam Beach (Flags Of Our Fathers) as Slipknot, Jim Parrack (Fury) as Johnny Frost, Ike Barinholtz (The Mindy Project) as Hugo Strange, newcomer Karen Fukuhara as Katana, and Common (Selma) and Scott Eastwood (The Longest Ride) in as-yet-unconfirmed roles.
