Rumour: Rachel McAdams offered female lead in Marvel’s Doctor Strange

July 6, 2015 by Gary Collinson

With Marvel Studios skipping the San Diego Comic-Con International this year, it’s unlikely we’ll get any big Marvel news this week, but we do have a casting rumour to chew on for Doctor Strange.

According to rumour specialists Heroic Hollywood, Rachel McAdams (True Detective) has been offered the female lead in the Phase Three release. No character details have been mentioned, but there’s speculation online that the role could be that of Clea, a love interest to the Sorcerer Supreme, daughter of Umar and neice of Dormammu.
