Ant-Man and the Wasp officially announced for 2018; three more Phase Three movies announced

October 8, 2015 by admin

There’s some shaking up around the Phase Three line-up as Marvel announced today that Ant-Man will be getting a sequel in 2018, under the title Ant-Man and The Wasp. Not only that, but they’ve moved some dates around and teased three more movies for the line-up.

Marvel.com writes: “Following our hero’s debut adventure in this summer’s Ant-Man, Scott Lang will return alongside Hope Van Dyne on July 6, 2018 with Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. The sequel will mark the first Marvel Studios film named after its heroine.”

“The announcement of Ant-Man and the Wasp follows the success of Ant-Man, which has earned $178.5M domestically and $231.3M internationally for a global total of $409.8M,” the website continues. “It’s the #9 film of the year domestically, and opens in its final international market, China, on October 16.”

This means that Black Panther will now be released on February 16th 2018, and Captain Marvel has been moved to March 8th 2019.

Finally, three more untitled Marvel movies have been announced for Phase Three that will be released on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020. Wonder which speculation site will be the first to “get the scoop” on what the films will be…
