George Clooney to direct the Coen Brothers’ crime noir Suburbicon

October 26, 2015 by Gary Collinson

According to Deadline, George Clooney is in talks with TriStar to direct Suburbicon, which has been written by Joel and Ethan Coen and is described as “a small crime drama set in the 1950s”.

Clooney and the Coen Brothers are no strangers, with Clooney having appeared in Intolerable Cruelty and O Brother, Where Art Thou?, along with the upcoming Hail, Caesar!.

Should the deal come together, it will mark Clooney’s sixth directorial offering, the most recent being 2014’s The Monuments Men.
