Gioulakis also worked as director of photography on 2012 horror-comedy John Dies at the End.

Shyamalan announced the appointment on Twitter, marking the beginning of the production process on the Blumhouse-produced movie, which stars James McAvoy (Victor Frankenstein).

Production will start in early November and is set to run for a period of 30 days.

Shyamalan is sticking to low-budget filmmaking after the success of The Visit, which has soared to in excess of $80m at the worldwide box office, from a budget of only $5m.
