CW Seed renews Vixen animated series for second season, more live-action appearances planned

January 10, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Coinciding with the news that Kevin Smith is set to direct an episode of The Flash, The CW has announced that CW Seed has renewed the Arrowverse animated series Vixen for a second season.

The CW President Mark Pedowitz revealed at the Television Critics Association press tour that season two will run for six or seven episodes, once again totaling around half an hour of content.

He also spoke briefly about Megalyn Echikunwoke’s upcoming live-action appearance as Mari McCabe in Arrow, stating that: “Hopefully the character can spin itself out [into a full series] or if not, join DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.”
