The ending of Thor: The Dark World saw Loki (Tom Hiddleston) posing as Odin on the throne of Asgard, leaving the fate of Anthony Hopkin’s Allfather uncertain.
As yet, there’s been no word as to whether Hopkins will be back for a third outing in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, but Geek.com is claiming that Odin will return for the God of Thunder’s third solo outing, and they also claim to have details as to his role.
According to the site, Odin has fled Asgard, and is now wandering around Midgard “as one of those crazy-looking ‘the end is nigh’ street-corner hobos, warning of the impending apocalypse.” At some point, Thor will encounter his father on Earth.

Thor: Ragnarok is to be directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) and features a cast that so far includes Marvel veterans Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif). The film is set for release on November 3rd 2017.
