Jason Patric joins Season 2 of Wayward Pines

February 5, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Deadline is reporting that Narc star Jason Patric is set to join the second season of the hit thriller series Wayward Pines, which returns this summer from executive producer M. Night Shyamalan (The Visit).

In the new season, which begins soon after the events of the first, Patric is set to play Dr. Theo Yedlin, “a confident, driven surgeon whose leadership skills will prove invaluable to the residents of Wayward Pines.”

The new 10-episode season will see the Wayward Pines residents continue their “battle against the iron-fisted rule of the First Generation.” Jason Patric’s Yedlin “awakens from suspended animation and finds himself in the middle of this rebellion, as he tries to understand what Wayward Pines really is and help preserve the endangered human race.”

“Jason is an incredibly grounded and believable actor,” said Shyamalan. “I’m so excited for audiences to see what he brings to the world of ‘Wayward Pines.’”

Based on the international best-selling series of books by author Blake Crouch, Wayward Pines is set to return later this year on FOX.
