Michael Keaton in talks for villain role in Spider-Man: Homecoming

April 14, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Former Batman Michael Keaton could be set to swap the DC universe for Marvel, with Variety reporting that the actor is in talks to play the villain in Sony and Marvel’s upcoming reboot Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Details about the role are being kept under wraps, but a rumour surfaced earlier today suggesting that Homecoming could feature an appearance from Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. The Vulture.

Should a deal be reached, Keaton would join a cast that includes Tom Holland (In the Heart of the Sea) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler) as Aunt May and Zendaya (K.C. Undercover) as Michelle.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is being directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) and is set for release on July 7th, 2017.
