Ray Fisher’s Cyborg to appear in The Flash

August 17, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Having both made brief cameo appearances in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, both Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher are currently shooting the big DC team-up Justice League, but it seems that won’t be the only time the two are sharing the screen in the DC Extended Universe.

According to Variety, Fisher is set to reprise the role of Victor Stone / Cyborg alongside Miller’s Barry Allen in 2018’s The Flash, which is slated to go into production later this year. It’s unknown how large of a role Cyborg will play in the film, although the site describes it as a cameo. Still, given that Cyborg is the least well-known member of the Justice League, it would make sense that Warner Bros. wants to familiarise audiences with the character as much as possible ahead of his own planned solo movie in 2020.

UPDATE: Director Rick Famuyiwa has responded to the report on Twitter:

#SaysWho ? https://t.co/pKmFdd2OUO

— Rick Famuyiwa (@RickFamuyiwa) August 18, 2016

So, not quite a denial, but let’s face it – he’s unlikely to confirm the report at this stage if it is true anyway.

The Flash is being directed by Rick Famuyiwa, who also reunites with his Dope star Kiersey Clemons as Iris West. It is set for release on March 16th 2018.
