Black Panther will feature a key 90s flashback

January 16, 2017 by Robert Kojder

The East Bay Times have reported that Marvel Studios has received the go-ahead to incorporate the 1990s logo for the Oakland, California-based AC Transit public transportation agency for a flashback scene in the Black Panther movie.

Fans familiar with the source material of the character will already have a clue as to what flashback will be featured in the solo movie. For those not in the know, the flashback will be spent exploring T’Challa’s time in Saint Mary’s College High School, most likely also featuring a depiction of him traveling to the United States of America under the alias Luke Charles.

Black Panther is slated to go into production in this January, with Coogler (Creed) directing a cast that sees Captain America: Civil War star Boseman joined by Lupita Nyong’o (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Nakia, Michael B. Jordan (Fantastic Four) as Erik Killmonger, Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) as Okoye, Winston Duke (Person of Interest) as M’Baku, Forest Whitaker (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as Zuri, Daniel Kaluuya (Black Mirror) as W’Kabi, Angela Bassett (American Horror Story) as Ramonda, Florence Kasumba (Captain America: Civil War) as Ayo and Letitia Wright (Ready Player One) in an unknown role. The film is set for release on February 16, 2018.
