Sylvester Stallone confirms Harrison Ford for The Expendables 3, says Bruce Willis is out

August 6, 2013 by admin

It looks like Sylvester Stallone may have pulled off a major coup for The Expendables 3, with the actor taking to Twitter to reveal that Harrison Ford has joined the roster of aging action icons for the threequel. However it seems Bruce Willis won’t be back as Mr. Church – with Sly confirming his departure from the upcoming sequel and seemingly taking a dig at the Die Hard star with a tweet that states “greedy and lazy”.

Ford was one of the original names mentioned on producer Avi Lerner’s original wish-list alongside Clint Eastwood, Nicolas Cage and Wesley Snipes, with the latter also apparently confirmed as appearing. Nevertheless, we should probably point out that Stallone has jumped the gun with his Twitter casting announcements for The Expendables 3 on several occasions, so it wouldn’t come as much surprise if a deal between Lionsgate and Ford was yet to be finalised.

The Expendables 3 is set for release on August 15th 2014, with Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) directing a cast that may or may not include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Mickey Rourke, Jackie Chan, Steven Seagal, Mel Gibson, Milla Jovovich, and Kellan Lutz.
