It’s a Wonderful Life 2 coming Christmas 2015

November 18, 2013 by admin

In news that’s bound to excite no one anywhere, Variety has revealed that Frank Capra’s 1946 holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life is getting a sequel, with producers Allen J. Schwalb of Star Partners and Bob Farnsworth of Hummingbird Productions aiming to add the movie to the already packed 2015 sequel schedule (where it will presumably be destroyed in the holiday schedule by Warcraft, Star Wars: Episode VII and Mission: Impossible 5).

Now, if you’re thinking, “hey, at least it’s not a remake”, It’s a Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story sounds exactly like a remake, and will see Karolyn Grimes – George Bailey’s (James Stewart) daughter in the original – returning as an angel to show unlikeable George Bailey (that’s George Bailey’s grandson, who’s also called George) just how different the world would be if he’d never been born. The producers are also said to be in discussions with Jimmy Hawkins (Tommy Bailey) and Carol Coombs (Janie Bailey) about returning to their roles almost 70 years later.

Do you have any interest in seeing a sequel to It’s a Wonderful Life? Let us know in the comments below…
