Marvel’s Phase Three plans revealed?

February 14, 2014 by admin

We’re only two-fifths of the way through Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers: Age of Ultron still to come, but if the generally-reliable Schmoes Know are to be believed, Marvel Studios has already laid out its plans for its third wave of superhero movies.

If you’ve been following the MCU, you’ll find little of surprise here – except perhaps for the lack of the rumoured Guardians of the Galaxy 2 – with the site suggesting that Phase Three will consist of Ant-Man, Captain America 3, Thor 3, Doctor Strange and The Avengers 3.

Now, we do know for certain that Ant-Man and Avengers 3 will feature, while the Captain America and Thor sequels seem certain, what with Marvel confirming that both are in development, while all signs over the past year have pointed to Doctor Strange arriving in 2016.

Obviously we shouldn’t take this as gospel until we hear something official, but if this is Marvel’s line-up for the next wave of movies, how do you feel about it? Happy? Disappointed that the long-rumoured Black Panther movie is absent once again? Let us know your thoughts….

Why not head on over to our newly-launched Flickering Myth Forum to discuss this story, or anything else that takes your fancy…
