Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist sequel Street Fighter: World Warrior in development

July 26, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Some great news for fans of the web series Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, as it has been announced at Comic-Con that Capcom has given the go ahead to development on a second series, entitled Street Fighter: World Warrior! Joey Ansah will return to write and direct World Warrior, which will see him reunited with Assassin’s Fist cast members Mike Moh (Ryu), Christian Howard (Ken) and Gaku Space (Goki).

“The scale of World Warrior is much larger, picking up where ‘Assassin’s Fist’ left off as we follow Ryu and Ken on their ‘Musha Shugyo’ (warrior’s pilgrimage),” said Ansah. “The Shadaloo criminal cartel will be introduced, led by the extremely dangerous M.Bison, which will naturally lead into the World Warrior tournament.”

In addition to M. Bison, it’s also expected that Street Fighter favourites such as Guile, Chun-Li and Sagat will play prominent roles. The series is expected to arrive late in 2015 or early 2016. In the meantime, you can watch Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist here, or pick up the DVD / Blu-ray later this year.
