Hans Zimmer briefly talks Batman v Superman score, writing individual themes for each hero

February 25, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Catching up with Hans Zimmer at the Oscars this past weekend, MTV managed to grab a few comments from the composer about his work on the upcoming DC ensemble Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, asking him whether he plans to develop individual themes for each of the heroes.

“I’m trying, I’ll put it that way,” states Zimmer, who has previously stated that he plans to tackle Superman, whilst handing Batman over to Junkie XL. “We’re in early days. But yes, of course, ideally that’s what you want to do.”

Zimmer was also asked if Warner Bros. has him down to score any future DC movies, with the composer responding that: “Look, the studio is going to hedge its bet, if I ruin this one…. And at the same time you have to remember I come from ten years of doing Batman, so it’s really important to me not to betray the work we did with Chris.”
