Boardwalk Empire’s Travis Tope joins Independence Day 2

March 26, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

The casting on Roland Emmerich’s long-awaited sequel Independence Day 2 is gathering pace, with The Wrap revealing that Boardwalk Empire star Travis Tope is set to join the film.

Tope joins a long list of talent already involved, and becomes the newest name after Vivica A. Fox was announced as reprising her role from the original. Tope and Fox join Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth and Jessie Usher in the cast, with Bill Pulman also expected to return.

Independence Day 2 will start shooting in May ahead of a release in June 2016.
