David Ayer calls Jared Leto’s Joker “majestic”; first look coming today?

The crew have all assembled in Toronto for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad as production is set to begin. Ayer has been tweeting out some of the set photos (which you can check out below) and also had some words about his new vision for The Joker.

When a fan asked him to describe Jared Leto’s Joker in one word, he said he would be, “majestic”. This is off the back of Leto himself calling the Clown Prince of Crime as “a beautiful disaster”.

In other Suicide Squad news, David Ayer in the early hours of the morning that a big reveal is on the way. In all honesty, it could just be the logo or a synopsis, but with Leto announcing on his Instagram that he has arrived in Toronto, could we be getting our first look at the character?

Suicide Squad is being directed by David Ayer (Fury) and is set for release on August 5th 2016. with a cast that includes Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop) as Rick Flagg, Will Smith (Hancock) as Deadshot, Jai Courtney (Terminator: Genisys) as Captain Boomerang, Margot Robbie (Focus), Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) as The Joker and Viola Davis (How to get Away with Murder) as Amanda Waller. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Jesse Eisenberg is also expected to reprise the role of Lex Luthor and Jay Hernandez (Hostel) has joined the cast in an unknown role.
