Arnold Schwarzenegger talks The Legend of Conan

June 28, 2015 by Gary Collinson

During a promotional interview for his new film Terminator Genisys, action icon Arnold Schwarzenegger offered up a few words on his next planned return to one of his former glories in The Legend of Conan, which was first announced back in 2012 and is currently undergoing a rewrite courtesy of Will Beall (Gangster Squad).

“I was hoping to do another one and I was hoping that the idea of Conan having been king for a long time, then just threw it all away and went into retirement and went off into the mountains,” said Schwarzenegger (via Nerd Report). “That whole idea always appealed to me. Then of course he gets asked back because of some hideous and unbelievable things that are happening to the kingdom. So that’s when the battle begins again.”

“The script [from Chris Morgan] turned out really great,” he continued. “It needs some tweakage but really they’ve done an extraordinary job with it, very thoughtful so I’m looking forward to working with them on that as soon as this gets out of the way, because I’m very focused on one thing at a time. Then we do the next thing.”

So, could The Legend of Conan be Arnold’s next project after Terminator Genisys? It certainly sounds that way…
