Star Trek 3 officially titled Star Trek Beyond

With Star Trek 3 finally moving into production, director Justin Lin has announced the official title of the movie via Twitter – Star Trek Beyond.

The director also tweeted out a photo from the set, which you can see below:

Star Trek Beyond is set for release on July 8th, 2016 and will be directed by Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 6) based on a script written by Simon Pegg with returning cast members Chris Pine as James Kirk, Zachery Quinto as Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Zoë Saldana as Uhura, Karl Urban as Bones, John Cho as Sulu and Anton Yelchin as Chekov.
