Batman ’66 to team up with The Avengers

July 14, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Over the weekend it was revealed that The Dark Knight is set to team up with the Heroes in a Half-Shell for Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but that’s not the only crossover on the horizon for the Caped Crusader as Batman ’66 is set to team up with The Avengers!

Now, before you get all excited about a potential DC / Marvel collaboration, we are in fact referring to the classic 60s British spy show The Avengers, featuring the characters of John Steed and Emma Peel.

“Batman ’66 is locked in a period of time, and who he meets is locked into that time period,” said DC co-publisher Dan DiDio at the San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend. “I can’t think of anyone more fun to use than those guys.”

There’s no word yet on a release date for the series, but we’ll keep you updated.
