Jennifer Lawrence to star in The Rosie Project

July 11, 2015 by Gary Collinson

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Jennifer Lawrence has signed on to appear in the romantic dramedy The Rosie Project for Columbia Pictures.

Adapted from Graeme Simsion’s book, with (500) Days of Summer scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber penning the script, the film was to be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller until the duo signed on for the Star Wars Anthology Han Solo movie at Lucasfilm.

The Rosie Project “tells of a socially inept genetics professor who comes up with a scientifically sound survey to find the perfect mate. His plans get curvy when he meets Rosie Jarman, who in her whirlwind manner possesses all the opposite qualities he should be looking for.”

Lawrence has The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 and Joy arriving this year and is currently shooting X-Men: Apocalypse, after which she’ll appear in the sci-fi love story Passengers alongside Chris Pratt.
