Marvel has announced that Spider-Man and Deadpool are to team up for the new series Spider-Man/Deadpool from writer Joe Kelly and artist Ed McGuinness, the creative team behind the Merc with a Mouth’s first solo series from 1997. “The book is funny, I hope,” said Kelly during Marvel’s Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends panel at Comic-Con. “We’re working on our barometer of good taste. The challenge of the book is that they’re both funny. Spidey is one type of humor; Deadpool is a very different type of humor.”
Spider-Man/Deadpool #1 will arrive later this year.
