Ed Skrein says Deadpool is going to be a “nightmare” for 20th Century Fox

August 18, 2015 by admin

Deadpool has been making a lot of waves amongst the comic book community and his first big screen movie is looking to be one of the most anticipated comic book films next year. But it could be a nightmare for 20th Century Fox according to Ed Skrein.

Skrein, who plays Ajax in the movie, thinks that the movie’s jokes and jibes against celebrities is going to cause havoc for Fox’s lawyers.

“We had Harry Styles, David Beckham, we had Prince Charles, we had so many,” he told Digital Spy. “The funniest part was trying to keep a straight face. Ryan [Reynolds] is such a comedic genius, and then people like TJ Miller, who has a phenomenal sense of humor, they would make every take so different. We were so free in that aspect. I think it’s going to be a nightmare for the Fox lawyers and a nightmare in the edit, but wonderful for the viewer.”

Deadpool is set for release on February 5th 2016 in the UK and February 12th 2016 in the States. Reynolds and Miller will share the screen with Morena Baccarin (Gotham) as Copycat, Gina Carano (Fast & Furious 6) as Angel Dust, Ed Skrein (Game of Thrones) as Ajax, Andre Tricoteux (Seventh Son) as Colossus, Leslie Uggams (Roots) as Blind Al and newcomer Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
