Warner Bros. developing Dante’s Inferno movie

August 23, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Deadline has revealed that Warner Bros. has snapped up the rights to Dante’s Inferno, a pitch from screenwriter Dwain Worrell which is based upon the legendary poem by Dante Alighieri.

One of three parts of Dante’s Divine Comedy, Inferno follows the hero Dante as he descends through the nine circles of hell – Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud, and Treachery – to save the woman he loves.

Worrell’s previous credits include Walking the Dead and Operator, while he has recently been developing an adaptation of Jose Padilha’s (RoboCop) sci-fi short story Mindcorp.
