Sightseers star Alice Lowe to shoot debut feature Prevenge whilst pregnant

October 27, 2015 by Tom Beasley

British actor and filmmaker Alice Lowe (Sightseers) is set to shoot her directorial debut Prevenge this month whilst more than seven months pregnant, according to Screen Daily.

Lowe, who also co-wrote Sightseers with fellow star Steve Oram (Aaaaaaaah!), will star in the film as a pregnant woman on a killing spree, as well as taking the director’s chair for the first time.

Prevenge has been described by Lowe as a “post-feminist revenge movie” and will be partly improvised on set by the cast.

Eileen Davies (The Theory of Everything), who starred alongside Lowe in Sightseers, will also appear in the film.

Prevenge will aim to finish production before Lowe’s baby is due in December.
