Star Wars: The Force Awakens background characters to be explored in new ebooks

As Disney and Lucasfilm continue on the Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it looks like we’ll be getting some insight into some of the minor characters from December’s hotly-anticipated film.

Per Entertainment Weekly, the female character to the right of the above image, Bazine, will be explored in Delilah S. Dawson’s eShort Star Wars: The Perfect Weapon, which will be published on November 24th.

December 1st will also see the release of the eBook anthology Star Wars: Tales from a Galaxy Far, Far Away: Aliens by Landy Walker, and will feature four stories: “High Noon on Jakku”, “All Creatures Great and Small”, “The Face of Evil”,  and “The Crimson Corsair and the Treasure of Count Dooku.”

Meanwhile, we’ll also be getting another Star Wars short from Alan Dean Foster in December with Star Wars: Bait, which will revolve around a character called Grumgarr.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set for release on December 17th in the UK and December 18th in the States and sees J.J. Abrams directing returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar), in addition to Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (A Most Violent Year), Andy Serkis (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Ken Leung (Lost), Miltos Yerolemou (Game of Thrones), Max von Sydow (The Exorcist), Jessica Henwick (Spirit Warriors), Christina Chong (24: Live Another Day), Simon Pegg (Star Trek) and newcomers Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen.
