Kickboxer remake already has a sequel in development

November 27, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like the producers of the upcoming Kickboxer remake are confident that they have a hit on their hands, with Deadline revealing that a sequel to Kickboxer Vengeance is already in development.

Entitled Kickboxer Retaliation, the second film will see stuntman Alain Moussi returning to the role of Kurt Sloane, played by Jean-Claude Van Damme in the original movie.

As it happens, Van Damme is also back for the remake as Master Chow, while Dave Bautista plays Tong Po and Gina Carano, Georges St. Pierre and Darren Shahlavi also feature in the cast.

Kickboxer Vengeance is directed by John Stockwell (Into the Blue) and is set to arrive next year, while Kickboxer Retaliation will follow in 2017.
