Prison Break’s Robert Knepper joins Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

Deadline is reporting that Robert Knepper (Prison Break, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay) has signed on to appear in the currently-in-production sequel Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

Knepper is set to play, “Gen. Harkness, a retired general-turned-CEO of a private military contractor firm [who is] described as a man of power, experience and authority who thinks he’s the hero and is not afraid to do what’s necessary.

The follow-up to the 2012 Lee Child adaptation sees Tom Cruise back as Jack Reacher, while the cast also includes Cobie Smulders (Avengers: Age Of Ultron), Danika Yarosh (Heroes Reborn), Austin Hebert (Bonnie and Clyde), Patrick Heusinger (Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce), Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton), and Holt McCallany (Gangster Squad).
