Christina Milian and Annaleigh Ashford join The Rocky Horror Picture Show

February 4, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Fox continues to fill out its cast for the upcoming TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with Christina Milian (Grandfathered) set to play Magenta and Annaleigh Ashford (Masters of Sex) portraying Columbia.

Production on the two-hour event special is set to get underway next month under director Kenny Ortega (High School Musical), while the cast includes Laverne Cox (Orange Is the New Black) as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Victoria Justice (Zoey 101) as Janet, Ryan McCartan (Liv and Maddie) as Brad, Reeve Carney (Penny Dreadful) as Riff Raff, model Staz Nair as Rocky and Tim Curry as the Criminologist Narrator.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show follows sweethearts Janet Weiss (Victoria Justice) and Brad Majors, who stumble upon the bizarre abode of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a sexually ambiguous, flirtatious alien mad scientist. She is holding an annual Transylvanian science convention to showcase the birth of “Rocky Horror” – a fit, attractive man created solely to fulfill Frank’s desires.”
