Fred Armisen to voice Krang in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

March 28, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The villainous Krang is set to make his big screen debut this summer in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, and during a presentation at WonderCon this past weekend producer Brad Fuller announced that the character will be voiced by Fred Armisen (Portlandia).

“Anyone who loves Fred will love what he is doing,” said Fuller, with fellow producer Andrew Form going to reveal that the Super Bowl TV spot won’t be our only glimpse of Krang before the movie, adding that, “I think soon in some marketing you’ll see some more of him.”

Megan Fox (April O’Neill), Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick), William Fichtner (Eric Sacks), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) and Noel Fisher (Michelangelo) all return to the cast, while new additions include Stephen Amell (Arrow) as Casey Jones, Tyler Perry (Gone Girl) as Baxter Stockman, Brian Tee (The Wolverine) as The Shredder, Fred Armisen (Portlandia) as Krang, Gary Anthony Williams (Boston Legal) as Bebop and WWE’s Sheamus as Rocksteady with Alessandra Ambrosio (Casino Royale) and Laura Linney (The Fifth Estate) in unconfirmed roles. The film is set for release on June 3rd, 2016 in the US and August 12th in the UK.
