Genesis Rodriguez nabs female lead in Time After Time

March 11, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Genesis Rodriguez (Tusk) will play the female lead in Time After Time, Kevin Williamson’s upcoming adaptation of the 1979 novel by Karl Alexander and the subsequent movie adaptation.

Rodriguez is set to portray Jane Walker, the museum curator who captivates H.G. Wells upon his arrival in modern day New York. The actress is set to be joined in the cast by Freddie Stroma (UnReal) as the time travelling Wells, and Josh Bowman (Revenge) as his nemesis Jack the Ripper.

The project will use the novel as a “starting point”, and sees surgeon John Stevenson, a.k.a. Jack the Ripper, stealing Wells’ Time Machine, with Wells then pursuing him to the present in order to bring him to justice.
