Jamie Foxx to partner up with a puppet private eye in The Happytime Murders

April 28, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Last year it was reported that The Jim Henson Company’s R-rated puppet noir The Happytime Murders had been revived by STX Entertainment, and now it looks as though it may have found its human lead.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Foxx (Annie) is in talks to play the former partner of a disgraced puppet private eye who is on the trailer of a serial killer who is targeting the cast of a famous 80s television show titled ‘The Happytime Gang’.

Brian Henson (The Muppet Christmas Carol) is directing the project, which has been in development since 2008 and is said to be in the vein of L.A. Confidential.
