William and Harry visit Star Wars: Episode VIII set at Pinewood

April 20, 2016 by Kirsty Capes

Star Wars / British Monarchy fans everywhere were sent into a frenzy yesterday as pictures emerged of the Duke of Cambridge visiting the set of the eighth movie in the Star Wars saga alongside his brother Prince Harry at Pinewood Studios.

The British Royal Family’s sovereign Princes William and Harry took time to visit the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, where they were treating to meeting with the cast, crew and creative teams behind the eighth installment in the Star Wars saga, directed by Rian Johnson and due out in 2017.

William and Harry visited the set ahead of the Queen’s 90th birthday tomorrow, and got to meet Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn) as well as Chewbacca  in costume, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and BB8. Harry took pointers from Mark Hamill as he sat in the cockpit of an X-wing fighter, and William got a close up look of one of Rey’s prosthetic headpieces.
