Variety is reporting that Andrew Garfield has signed on to star in Under the Silver Lake, a “modern-day crime thriller set in Los Angeles”, which will be directed by David Robert Mitchell, the filmmaker behind the critically-acclaimed horror It Follows.
“David Robert Mitchell is one of the great new voices in cinema and I am honored to be working with him and the entire producing team,” states Michael De Luca, who is producing. “I look forward to working with the esteemed team at Insiders to bring David’s film to audiences around the world.”
Garfield will next been seen in the Mel Gibson-directed war film Hacksaw Ridge and Martin Scorsese’s Silence, while he has also recently signed on to star in Breathe, which is being directed by Andy Serkis.
